Did you know?

The origin of the name Europe is maybe in the phoenician word Ereb which means 'in the evening' and which would refer to the West, the place where the sun leaves, lying down going to bed to finish its race over the Earth;  opposite is the east ,that is Asia.

But Europe is also the name of a mythological character! Europe is the daughter of Théléphassa and Agénor, king of Phoenicia, as appears in  the old texts.
